Question about this product?
- By John D. Foubert.
Intended to be used in an all-female peer education group, this guide contains the training materials necessary for the peer educator. While it does complement the guide for administrators, it is designed to be a self-contained manual. It includes all of the program scripts and handouts, as well as advice for running the program. The program scripts lay out each session in detail for the leader. Participants will learn how to recognize and identify dangerous men, how to help a friend who is a survivor of rape, and about ways to be an active bystander. The program scripts lay out each session in detail for the leader. Videos will be used to reinforce the material.
This package contains ten copies of The Women's Program.
Reviews
"Dr. Foubert has written a comprehensive volume with abundant resources for any educational institution, organization, or group seeking to create a state of the art rape prevention peer education program for men and women. More than a how-to-book, this resource is empirically grounded and time-tested. I strongly recommend it for anyone seeking a proven method for educating young people on how to end rape." - Tom Segar, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Shepherd University
"As a speaker on sexual assault, depression, and suicide, I have long been an admirer of John Foubert. This book is a must for anyone that works in the sexual assault field and is interested in using a unique, successful, research based program for men and women. I am particularly impressed with The Women’s Program. I have seen nothing like this available." - Andrea Fuller Cooper, Kristin’s Story, LLC
"No other publications provide the explicit language to enable youth to work toward ending sexual violence and be assured that their interventions among their peers are meaningful, research-based, and lasting. A charged, emotional topic is voiced in a way that engages both those who offer and those who experience these sexual assault survivor programs." - Charles G. Eberly, PhD, Professor of Counseling and Student Development, Eastern Illinois University and Past President, Center for the Study of the College Fraternity
