Relational Perspectives Book Series
The Relational Perspectives Book Series publishes books that grow out of the relational tradition in contemporary psychoanalysis.
Various tributaries – interpersonal psychoanalysis, object relations theory, self psychology, empirical infancy research, and certain currents of contemporary Freudian thought – flow into this tradition, which understands relational configurations between self and others, real and fantasied, as the primary subject of psychoanalytic investigation.
This series is home to works by Stephen A. Mitchell, Lewis Aron, Neil Altman, Joyce Slochower, Adrienne Harris, Muriel Dimen, and other exemplars of contemporary relational thinking.
